hi guys im building a 20vt mk1 from scratch on my own, paint as well,

Ive just sold my mk1 with a 20v that I fitted I used a DTA ecu but im thinking about doing another to my mk2 and Im going to use a standard ecu and just get it chipped cos i reckon the mappable ecus like i had need constant fannying about to get the best from the engine and there are comanies who can supply a full wiring loom and ecu that give 250 hp, Im no expert but if you need any help just ask,

i know what ya mean mate but if you want to learn about engine management there ain,t no better way, i think the next one i do will have stock ecu and just get the imoboliser removed from it

do you mean QPE? if so they are £1000 dearer than megaquirt
how are you useing the standard1? some say you have to use the clocks but others say differant, can you get it chipped so you dnt need the trasponder? if so where form?

yea i,ve done a couple now for different people using the standard ecu and wiring, you just have to splice into your original loom, you don,t need the clocks or transponder, to get the ecu frigged use this man
